5. FEAST

[Voice]

Hallo, pretty New Feathers! I am hosting a feast. A feast by the lake to the West.

[Not the southern lake -- she needs to keep certain peoples' attention away from the lonely house she inhabits there.]

You are all invited! I have prepared something for you. It tastes of mint and chicory and iron! Yarrow and tansy! It will make you stronger.

Come.

[/Voice]

[Action]

Drusilla will be stalking about the woods as usual, eager to assist anyone who HASN'T heeded her invitation.

There is a cage waiting there, hidden under the trees. It is large enough to house a full-grown adult human.

It tastes of mint and iron.

[Action -- After Nightfall on the 11th]

[A pale young woman wanders into the village, twisting her hair round her fingers compulsively. She's hungry.

She's STARVING.

A whimper escapes her lips as she collapses by the fountain, and she calls out weakly:]

Spikey? Love sundae? The jaws can't bite; the claws can't catch.

[/Action]

[Drusilla has returned from death. Her DP is that she has lost the ability to go gameface and, therefore, to feed on victims using her fangs.]

3. Bite

hismasterpiece: (you will ache like I ache)
[Drusilla has been away on a combat mission in the mountains. She loves those types of missions; this was her second, and it was a long one. She fed; oh, she fed. Gorged herself on the blood of the fallen enemies that littered the steep, rocky terrain around her.

Turned a few Third Party warriors who seemed attractive enough to turn. She had plans to create her own demon army on the Outside. These fell through when the Organization shipped her back to the enclosure.]

[Voice|Video]

Jilly? I know you from through the window. I've made a doll.

[The video clicks on, and a horrid picture appears: a likeness similar to Jilly, with dark pits instead of eyes and a mouth stitched shut mid-scream. Beside it is a scratched-in number Seven.]

I want you all in my belly.

[/Voice|Video]

[Tonight Drusilla is on a quest to kill whomever she can and to turn whomever she can into vampires. The last thread, chronologically, will go to Buffy (together, possibly, with Faith if Aly and Kyra feel like doing that).]

****SORRY this is forward-dated to AFTER the event ends!

Tonight, just after sundown, there is a ruckus on one of the farms northeast of the village. When the bleating dies down, several dead lambs might be found in one of the enclosures. The ewes paw and nose at the bodies, dumb terror still fresh in their eyes.

Forest animals just have not been cutting it for Drusilla. But the vampire has been too wary to approach the village and feed there -- not without her Family, those who strengthen her. She stalks the journals during the day when she's not sleeping. Two slayers? A vampire hunter? All sorts of overpowered freaks and heroes and demons? She might be mad, but Dru is not stupid enough to attempt any kills in the village. Yet.

As she tears through the last lamb, the vampire laments to herself how much more fun this would be with Spike. And then she convinces herself in a long, drawn-out argument with a curiously red evening star -- which she quickly names Ethelind -- to spy on the sleeping village. Find out where the sweetest victims lay their heads. Her tattered white new-feather sundress, covered only by a black lace shawl, is stained red with lambs' blood. The dress of her porcelain doll, which she is carrying with her, is also stained. Perhaps she can stop at the shop for a new frock, and one for dolly, too.

When she glides through the village, Drusilla will dare to peek into some windows. She cannot enter any homes without an invitation.

[Dru will not be lingering around anyone she has identified as a threat. She is a powerful vampire but far more bold when working with lackeys or her "family" -- Angel, Spike, Darla. IF YOU WANT YOUR CHARACTER TO DIE OR BE INJURED AT THIS TIME JUST TELL ME IN A SUBJECT LINE, otherwise she won't be killing or hurting anyone in this post.]

[The journal clicks on at the far end of twilight, and the blurring image gradually resolves into a sharply-focused view of a dead fawn strewn with white and purple crocuses. White tea candles halo the little head, which is thrown back. Its tiny thin legs look as though they are leaping across the red-tinged snow.

Anyone who is paranoid about vampires in general -- or who is looking REALLY closely -- might see two tiny, clean puncture holes in the fawn's neck.

The following text soon appears beneath the image:]

I have made a spring picture. Everything melts and runs, and the ground is thirsty for secrets. And empty of them.

[So writes a vampire who is homesick for tombs and crypts and graveyards. This place is so barren of them. It won't do. Won't do at all. Still, she is pleased to have made this beautiful art out of a much-needed meal. Angelus would be pleased, too.]

Dru is a pretty vicious, heartless vampire. She has a penchant for attacking children and the very innocent. She's a killer.

Additionally, she has some psychic powers on top of her usual vampire powers (which include superhuman strength): Drusilla is clairvoyant, telepathic, can read auras, has precognition, and can hypnotize her prey. This makes her attacking style different from other vampires like Angelus or Spike. She gets a kick out of watching fights, but hand-to-hand or weapons combat are not her style. She is unlikely to engage in a straight-up fight with an armed opponent unless her unlife or something else of great importance is at stake. (NO PUN INTENDED OMG.)

Instead, Dru toys with victims for fun, hypnotizing and seducing them, sometimes using her psychic abilities to capture them. She isn't really a fighter in the traditional sense.

If you wouldn't mind giving me relevant information for your character, that would be great. I don't want to overstep boundaries. ALSO -- reach me on Plurk at manicmanic if you have questions or want to plot something.

*******************************

I: Can Drusilla physically attack your character?

If so, would you allow her to:

a) Bite your character?

b) Feed off your character's blood?

c) Capture and imprison your character?

d) Torture your character?

e) Kill your character?

*********************************

II. Can Drusilla mess with your character's mind?

a) Can she read your character's aura? If so, what might the aura look like?

b) Can she communicate with your character telepathically?

c) Do you want Dru to see anything in your character's future with her precognition? (This will probably only be a hazy look: Luceti is limiting her abilities. She might be successful only half the time with her precognition and all the rest of it.)

d) Can Dru hypnotize your character? (Beware: she often does this just before going for the kill.)

Drusilla can also read Tarot cards. I doubt she would sit down with just anyone and do this, so it might have to be a plot-relevant thing, and only for allies.

Here is some info on auras, in case anyone was wondering or wanted more info on that.
