2. LAMBING.

Tonight, just after sundown, there is a ruckus on one of the farms northeast of the village. When the bleating dies down, several dead lambs might be found in one of the enclosures. The ewes paw and nose at the bodies, dumb terror still fresh in their eyes.

Forest animals just have not been cutting it for Drusilla. But the vampire has been too wary to approach the village and feed there -- not without her Family, those who strengthen her. She stalks the journals during the day when she's not sleeping. Two slayers? A vampire hunter? All sorts of overpowered freaks and heroes and demons? She might be mad, but Dru is not stupid enough to attempt any kills in the village. Yet.

As she tears through the last lamb, the vampire laments to herself how much more fun this would be with Spike. And then she convinces herself in a long, drawn-out argument with a curiously red evening star -- which she quickly names Ethelind -- to spy on the sleeping village. Find out where the sweetest victims lay their heads. Her tattered white new-feather sundress, covered only by a black lace shawl, is stained red with lambs' blood. The dress of her porcelain doll, which she is carrying with her, is also stained. Perhaps she can stop at the shop for a new frock, and one for dolly, too.

When she glides through the village, Drusilla will dare to peek into some windows. She cannot enter any homes without an invitation.

[Dru will not be lingering around anyone she has identified as a threat. She is a powerful vampire but far more bold when working with lackeys or her "family" -- Angel, Spike, Darla. IF YOU WANT YOUR CHARACTER TO DIE OR BE INJURED AT THIS TIME JUST TELL ME IN A SUBJECT LINE, otherwise she won't be killing or hurting anyone in this post.]

Princely. Like a prince from the far Orient. Have you seen them? Bangles, sparkles, diamonds, perched upon great elephants.

Ah. W-Well I-I don't believe so, no. It, it sounds very nice. [ Helios will just take a step back now rubbing the back of his head. He's still eying those dark stains on her clothes though. They look like...

No. It probably wasn't anything. ]
bloodwaif: (you're uninvited)

[She takes a step forward. Someone THIS magical would be a fabulous pet.] You could be princely forever. Forever and ever.

[ Helios will wince giving a sheepish, uncertain, laugh as he takes another step backwards holding up both his hands injured and non-injured. ] O-Oh no. I-I'm not really o-one for, for royalty and such. I'm just an ordinary man after all.

[ He knows it's not what she means at all. ]

[ He does look into her eyes if only briefly. But oh how he'll regret doing that. The mentioning of Giles makes him falter in his retreat, if ever so slightly. Watcher. She knew Giles... ] H-How do you...how do you know-

[ How does she know about Giles and that Helios even knew him? He should run, probably, yes. He knows he should because something is very, very wrong. ]

[ At this point Helios will realize what she is. Something not human a vampire or demon perhaps. He's not entirely sure. His mind is also racing a bit so he can't formulate a spell that'll help at the moment. Instead? Instead he'll back himself, tripping and stumbling slightly as he makes to get away. This was bad, very bad. ]

[ Helios will note this as he still tries to remain on his feet. He'll hit the ground hard letting out a small gasp as he does so. He's out of breath panting a little as he hands go up to try and form a barrier around himself. Hopefully he can do so before Drusilla lands an attack on him, otherwise the vampire will get hit with a blow of powerful air that hopefully will push her back instead. ]

[ Helios winces at that not really enjoying in the fact he's had to use his magic against this woman. He falters in his movements biting his lip. ] Y-You don't have t-to do this.

[ And yet he still backs away ever so slowly, watching her with wary eyes. ]
folklorist: (Ah that's going to leave a mark)

[personal profile] folklorist 2012-04-15 08:16 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Oh. Ah. Yeah he's probably going to run soon. But that clicking of fangs and grin make him wince as he steps away a bit more quickly now. ] It...it d-doesn't have to be like this. Th-there's blood and food for your kind in, in the bar.

[ He swallows thickly, he knows that this might be a lost cause but there's no sense in not trying. Even if it ends in failure, he has to try. ]

N-No. I-I'm sure you're, you're not. But it...it's there to-to make things easier for you a-and to help you...

[ Also not to, well, put her or anyone else in danger. Helios swallows thickly still moving away looking around for a means of escape. ] E-Every being deserves the right to, to eat after all.

[ Helios actually stops at that. Inner conflict rising up slightly. On one hand feeding her would mean less people harmed, more protected, people wouldn't be in danger of being attacked. Even if she wasn't a vampire from his world...he couldn't help but want to try and help her in someway. And yet he knows it's a stupid idea, a very bad, very stupid idea. But it makes him falter in his retreat probably enough so for Drusilla to pounce. ]
folklorist: (Well this is certainly a mess)

[ She'll at least get a taste of his blood if her fangs scrap into his neck. Helios will let out a gasp tensing at the proximity and overall actions of the other. He might even try to push her away should he get a chance to. ]
